When an assessment is useful

Before committing a team to an application, when choosing between SBIR and STTR, or when deciding whether the evidence supports the next funding step.

What we examine

  • Opportunity and institute/program fit, mechanism selection, and timing
  • Eligibility questions and ownership, employment, or research-partner issues that need resolution
  • Scientific maturity, supporting evidence, and the logic of proposed milestones
  • Competitive positioning, likely reviewer concerns, and alternative funding paths

What you receive

A written funding-fit and readiness brief, prioritized evidence gaps, and a recommended next step: pursue, refine, defer, or redirect. The goal is a defensible decision before a larger commitment.

How the engagement works

Share a project summary, the opportunity under consideration, available evidence, and your timeline. We agree the assessment scope, review the materials, and discuss the recommendation and next steps.

Scope

This is a strategic assessment. It does not include application drafting, submission management, or a legal determination of eligibility. Questions requiring specialist advice are identified for follow-up.
